Facebook launches its 8th Developers Conference (F8)

Earlier today Facebook just launched its the first day of a 4 days 8th developers conference conde named (F8). More than 4,000 people attended the event at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California.


Mark Zuckerberg opened the F8 with a keynote introducing the new Camera Effects Platform, which will give the developers the ability to build augmented reality tools for cameras to build amazing new shapes while taking photos and being processed live just life the filters on Snapchat and others but with a lot more flexibility for the developers.


Today’s keynotes contained many new Facebook innovations and features of the social media giant, we will speak about them one by one:


Camera Effects Platform

As we mentioned earlier the new platform will give the developers the ability to create tools for AR to be used with their apps starting by creating frames to masks to what ever their imagination could bring to the world.


Facebook Spaces

Facebook spaces is a new virtual Reality app where you could hangout and interact with your friends the virtual environment.

With Facebook Spaces, you can view Facebook content with friends in VR, including 360 videos and photos that can transport you to new places. You can draw in the air with a virtual marker to create anything you can dream up, from a decorative hat to a handmade tic-tac-toe board. Facebook Spaces lets you easily phone a friend in the real world with Messenger video calling, so you can bring even more people into your VR space. They can answer your call on their phone to instantly open a window into your virtual world. Of course, there’s a selfie stick too. Use it to take photos of your experience and share the memories you create in VR with your friends on Facebook.


Developer Circles

Developer Circles is a new program that will allow developers from all around the world to connect together and collaborate. Developer Circles will be a free to join program without any commissions or fees.
